A cleaner feed, tuned to what you like
-
A new design for the jose and the feed.
We cleaned up the visual hierarchy and moved to more standard elements, so new people land somewhere that already feels familiar.
-
We dropped the jose title field.
It confused a lot of listeners and curators. The album, track or playlist name now serves as the title. You can always give the first line of your text (in bold) to a title of your own, if you want something different from what's in the playlist.
-
A preview of the first comments.
The first replies now show under the jose to invite more conversation, and the comment editor got an overhaul.
-
Your home feed is ordered by what's relevant to you.
Instead of pure reverse-chronological order, the feed ranks joses from the curators you follow and keeps a mix of voices, so no single curator takes over the screen.
-
The feed loads faster.
Work under the hood on how the feed is fetched — noticeably less waiting, especially if you follow a lot of curators.
One player, always there
-
Music moved out of the card.
Playing a track opens a persistent player — docked at the bottom on mobile, in the sidebar on desktop. The music keeps playing while you scroll the feed, and a playlist or album's tracklist opens there.
-
Choose where music plays.
In settings, under the Music tab, pick between Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Your choice is saved and follows you across every card.
-
Apple subscribers — worth connecting your account.
Apple Music plays full songs only when your account is connected in the browser; without it you'll hear 30-second previews. You can connect during sign-up, or later in settings.
A simpler editor that won't lose your text
-
A cleaner, simpler editor.
There used to be some confusion between creating a playlist and pulling a single track or album from Spotify. Now it's simple: bring in two tracks or more and you have a playlist.
-
Name your playlist, title your video.
Since we removed the separate title field, creating a playlist gives you the chance to rename it however you like — and uploading a video asks you to title it before it goes up.
-
What you wrote doesn't disappear.
Your text is saved as you type. If you close the window or navigate away halfway through, the next time you open the editor you'll be offered your draft back — with the option to start fresh.
-
Paste a YouTube link.
Pasting a YouTube link shows a preview right inside the editor, so you can see what you're attaching before you publish.
A consistent profile, preferences of their own
-
We cleaned up the profile page.
We stopped using a unique colour and a different font per curator — it simply made a visual mess, so we let it go. Your profile page is also where you manage your own joses.
-
Preferences moved to a settings page.
You reach it from your profile, and it's split into four: Profile (name, photo, bio), Music (streaming service), Preferences (email notifications) and Account (log out, delete account).
-
"Motto" and "bio" became one field.
There was some confusion between the motto/tagline field and the bio field people know from elsewhere. We merged everything into a single field called bio; for the few of you who had both, we merged the two texts. You can edit it from your profile.
-
Everyone has a profile, and anyone can be followed.
Names that appear in comments and likes are clickable and take you to the profile.
-
Follower and following lists are easier to use.
A bigger, clearer layout, with a follow button on every row — no need to leave the list.
A better start for people who just arrived
-
A short sign-up flow for new members.
Name and photo, where they listen to music, which genres they usually listen to — and then a list of curators and members worth following to begin with.
-
Recommendations account for where they came from.
Not just the genres they picked, but which jose they came in through, who wrote it, and who shared the link.
-
Better search on the discover page.
Search handles Hebrew properly and favours exact matches on the phrase you typed.
-
Visitors who aren't signed up can browse.
The prompt to join arrives when they try to do something — like, comment, follow — rather than as a wall up front. A link you share opens for anyone.
Easier to take a jose outside
-
One share menu, simple and clear.
We merged the menus and brought social sharing forward. Sharing out should feel easier and nicer now.
-
Your link looks good wherever it lands.
A link to a jose, a curator page or a challenge now shows up on WhatsApp and social as a card with an image and a title, instead of a bare URL.

Worth doing now
Go into settings and pick your streaming service, and take a look at the bio on your profile — especially if you used to have both a motto and a bio.
